Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) is once again set to host “ Queens …A Taste of the World .”
Hailed as Queens ’ largest celebration of culinary diversity, Queens Taste features over 40 restaurants and fine eateries and attracts over 1,000 guests from the New York metro area.
Participating Queens Taste restaurants include Austin ’s Steak House, Dazies Restaurant, Deluge, Floresta restaurant, Pavilion Grille, Riverview Restaurant and Lounge, and many more.
Join Queens Borough President Helen M. Marshall and this year’s Taste Team, headed by Taste Masters Dave Lieberman (Food Network) and Anahad O'Connor (New York Times), co-authors of THE TEN THINGS YOU NEED TO EAT who will be awarding top honors to participating restaurants
Contest categories include Best Appetizer, Best Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Beverage (non-alcohol/alcohol) and Best Overall Restaurant presentation. This year, the QEDC will also be honoring restaurants that have been in business for over 50 years with the Iconic Restaurant Award. Recipients of this award include London Lennie’s seafood restaurant
There will be great live entertainment and guests will experience world cultures while showing their support for QEDC and the Queens’ restaurant community.
The Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) is a not-for profit organization providing broader access to economic opportunity for all residents of Queens County for more than 30 years. They partnered with renowned retailer Macy’s Cellar Chef series to showcasing Queens’ top chefs and restaurants in anticipation of the May 18th event.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will be held at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets! Tickets are on sale now: $100/ticket.
